New Cartoonist Laureate in Vermont

I am training at the Center for Cartoon Studies where Edward Koren, a longtime New Yorker cartoonist, was appointed the second Cartoonist Laureate of Vermont.

I was honoured to be part of the ceremony by crowning Ed with the laurel I made with locally wildcrafted materials. It was a pleasure to meet Ed, he is a lovely and humble man. I love his loose, hairy style and ridiculous humour. Doesn't he look great?

GOTTA GET MY VEG!

This is a comic I made as part of an anthology called "To the Market" with some pals at CCS. The first two images were used for the cover design and the rest is my contribution to the collection. It's an homage to the Lunenburg Market in Nova Scotia and the true Put-Pockets, the Star kids and friends.

The Man and his Two Wives

This is a comic I made a few months ago based on the Aesop's Fable by the same name

I'll be posting more comics soon, so stay tuned!

Secret Valentine

I made this comic for the incredible John Carvajal (www.jacarvajal.com) for the Center for Cartoon Studies Secret Valentine Anthology. Thanks to the ever wonderful Peter Basch for putting it together! (www.spiritwilsonjr.tumblr.com)
