June
6th- bookmaking, figure and expression- we will make our own sketchbooks which
we will use through all sessions and learn about gesture and expression and make silent comics where the characters expressions tell the story
June
13th- characters- we will learn about character types and identifying features,
as well as creating our own characters, thinking about their back stories,
desires, dislikes, best and worst qualities and write a
one to two page comic about them
June
20th- World building- we will cover creating interior and exterior scenes with
instruction on perspective and make comics about a journey in a simplified
drawing style
June
27th- plot and storytelling- talk about pacing and narrative arc
and using an activity called "Bibliomancy" create a four-page
comic using random prompts to create their stories
