The Universe and Other Stories: Show in Lunenburg

My show at the Black Duck in Lunenburg turned out beautifully! Thanks to Liam, Dave and my mom for their parts in making the frames, and thanks to Ulo for the vinyl. Also, many thanks to everyone who came out for the opening!

The show will run until July 20th at the Black Duck Gallery in Lunenburg, NS.

Check it out if you haven't already!

Watercolour Painting at Pentz Elementary

I gave a special Watercolour workshop for grade six students at Pentz Elementary for the Fort Point Historical Society. The students created images inspired by maps designed by the the earliest European settlers of the Lahave region. I showed them how to use salt and oil pastels to achieve interesting effects with the paint.

The paintings turned out beautifully!

Hula Hooping at the West Dublin Market

Thanks to everyone who came out for the Hooping workshop at the West Dublin Market!

We had lots of fun making hoops and learning new tricks!

Lunenburg Academy Memory Quilt

The students who created the Lunenburg Academy Memory Quilt Project and I were invited to a Genealogy Conference in Lunenburg. We were asked to speak about the process of making the quilt and officially handed over the quilt to the Academy.

The quilt currently hangs at the Bluenose Academy in Lunenburg. Check it out!
